Hubspot asked users what they liked most about Instagram Stories. During the study, 350 Stories fans were surveyed.

Key findings of the study

In 2019, Instagram stories were viewed by 500 million users daily.

Users reported that, of all story formats, they were most likely to watch to the end short stories with photos, text and video (35%), as well as stories with quizzes and surveys (15%).

20% of respondents admitted that they have no preferences regarding formats.

Experts also asked users what length of stories they consider ideal. When asked “How many pages of history will you look at before moving on,” users reported preferring 6 or fewer pages (63%) and 4 to 6 pages (34%). More than a third of consumers are ready to watch stories longer than 6 screens.
